Equipment

  • Baking sheet or large skillet (depending on your preferred cooking method)
  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • Basting brush
  • Measuring spoons and cups
  • Spatula
  • Aluminum foil (optional, for easy cleanup)
  • Tongs or fish turner (optional)

Ingredients

  • 4 King Salmon fillets (approximately 6 oz each)
  • 2 Tbsp Olive oil
  • 3 Cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/3 Cup Honey
  • 1/4 Cup Soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
  • 1 Tbsp Fresh lemon juice
  • 1 Tsp Grated ginger (optional for added flavor)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (For garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (For serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Salmon:

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and season them lightly with salt and pepper.

Make the Glaze:

  • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and grated ginger if using. Set aside.

Cook the Salmon:

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillets skin-side down (if applicable). Cook for 3-4 minutes or until the skin is crispy and golden. Carefully flip and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes until the salmon is nearly cooked through.

Add the Garlic and Glaze:

  • Reduce the heat to low and push the salmon to one side of the skillet. Add the minced garlic to the empty side and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour the glaze mixture into the skillet and spoon it over the salmon fillets. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, occasionally basting the salmon with the sauce.

Finish and Serve:

  • Remove the salmon from the skillet and plate it. Continue simmering the glaze for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened. Drizzle the glaze over the salmon and garnish with chopped parsley.

Serve Immediately:

  • Serve with steamed rice, roasted vegetables, or a side salad, along with lemon wedges for added brightness.
