For the chicken:
- 1.5 Lbs Boneless chicken breast or thighs
- 1 Tbsp Olive oil
- 1 Tbsp Chilli powder
- 1 Tsp cumin
- 1 Tsp Paprika
- 1 Tsp Garlic powder
- 1 Tsp Onion powder
- 1/2 Tsp Oregano
- 1/2 Tsp salt
- 1/2 Tsp Black pepper
- Juice of one lime
For Tacos
- 8-10 Small flour or corn tortillas
- 1 Cup Shredded lettuce
- 1 Cup Diced tomatos
- 1 Cup Shredded cheese (Cheddar, Monterey jack, or a blend
- 1/2 Cup Sour cream or Greek yogurt
- 1/2 Cup Fresh cilantro
- Optional toppings Sliced jalapeños, diced onions, avocado slices, salsa
Season the Chicken:
In a small bowl, combine chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Coat the chicken with olive oil and rub the seasoning blend all over.
Shred or Slice the Chicken:
Assemble the Tacos
Fill each tortilla with shredded chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and any additional toppings you love. Drizzle with sour cream or your favorite salsa.
