Chicken Tacos

Ingredients
For the chicken:
- 1.5 Lbs Boneless chicken breast or thighs
- 1 Tbsp Olive oil
- 1 Tbsp Chilli powder
- 1 Tsp cumin
- 1 Tsp Paprika
- 1 Tsp Garlic powder
- 1 Tsp Onion powder
- 1/2 Tsp Oregano
- 1/2 Tsp salt
- 1/2 Tsp Black pepper
- Juice of one lime
For Tacos
- 8-10 Small flour or corn tortillas
- 1 Cup Shredded lettuce
- 1 Cup Diced tomatos
- 1 Cup Shredded cheese (Cheddar, Monterey jack, or a blend
- 1/2 Cup Sour cream or Greek yogurt
- 1/2 Cup Fresh cilantro
- Optional toppings Sliced jalapeños, diced onions, avocado slices, salsa
Instructions
Season the Chicken:
- In a small bowl, combine chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Coat the chicken with olive oil and rub the seasoning blend all over.
Cook the Chicken:
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 6-8 minutes per side until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Remove from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes.
Shred or Slice the Chicken:
- Use two forks to shred the chicken or slice it into thin strips. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the top for extra flavor.
Warm the Tacos:
- Heat the tortillas in a dry skillet for 20-30 seconds on each side or wrap them in foil and warm in a 300°F (150°C) oven.
Assemble the Tacos
