Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lbs Eye of round steak Sliced thinly against the grain
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce low sodium preferd
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cloves mined garlic
  • 1 tbsp ginger minced or grated
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 4 cups broccoli florets fresh or frozen
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • cooked rice for serving
  • sesame seeds and green onions for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, whisk together the beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and ginger.
  • Place the sliced beef in the crock pot. Pour the sauce over the beef, ensuring it's well coated.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until the beef is tender.
  • About 30 minutes before serving, add the broccoli florets to the crock pot. Stir to combine and cover again.
  • In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with the water to create a slurry. Stir this into the crock pot 15 minutes before serving to thicken the sauce.
  • Drizzle sesame oil over the dish just before serving. Stir well.
  • Serve over cooked rice and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
