Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs Eye of round steak Sliced thinly against the grain
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup soy sauce low sodium preferd
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 cloves mined garlic
- 1 tbsp ginger minced or grated
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
- 4 cups broccoli florets fresh or frozen
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- cooked rice for serving
- sesame seeds and green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together the beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and ginger.
- Place the sliced beef in the crock pot. Pour the sauce over the beef, ensuring it's well coated.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until the beef is tender.
- About 30 minutes before serving, add the broccoli florets to the crock pot. Stir to combine and cover again.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with the water to create a slurry. Stir this into the crock pot 15 minutes before serving to thicken the sauce.
- Drizzle sesame oil over the dish just before serving. Stir well.
- Serve over cooked rice and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
